Summary of the book: This book is about going for a walk before it turns night. It is about seeing everything that goes on in a neighborhood. The child sees squirrels playing in a yard, a boy mowing, someone putting mail in the mailbox, and neighbors baking with the wonderful smells. As the child and parent turn around to walk home, everything is calm. There is no more squirrels playing, the boy got all the leaves raked, the mail man picked the mail up, and the pie was gone. I think this is a great book about how to get a child calm and relaxed before going to bed or nap. I could use this book to get the children up and walking around in school. We could go around our block and see what is going on in school. Then come back to tap a nap if we were in Kindergarten.
