Summary of the book: This book is about little red riding hood. The only thing this book is a different take on the story. It is not your typical story you have heard. Carmine is a little girl who loves red and her family loves red also. She is a painter and loves to paint. Carmine granny taught her how to spell by making alphabet soup. Granny called wanting to know if Carmine wanted to come to her house for alphabet soup. She warned Carmine to be careful because she heard noises last night. Carmine agreed to be careful and come straight to her house. Well Carmine is over taken with the beautiful colors of flowers in the field. She stops to paint a picture of the flowers. She runs into trouble because she did not listen. She ends up making it to granny’s house. The book is an awesome book for ages 4 and up! This could be used to help children understand it is important to listen to instructions that are given to you. I would love to have this book in my future classroom library.
